Key Markets

Among the main EXPORT destinations, the United States remains the leader, accounting for more than 60% of shipments. In the first seven months of 2025, 18,976 tons of eggs were shipped to the United States, representing an increase of 1,419% compared to the previous year. Revenue from shipments to the US was $40.7 million, up 1,769% from 2024.

The next largest buyers were Chile (2,562 tonnes, down 27.9%, revenues of $7.5 million), Japan (2,019 tonnes, up 175.2%, revenues of $4.7 million) and Mexico (1,843 tonnes, revenues of $8.1 million). it is also worth noting that other significant buyers include Angola (889 tonnes), the UAE (1,677 tonnes), Uruguay (428 tonnes) and Sierra Leone (473 tonnes).

Forecasts and challenges

ABPA President Ricardo Santin noted that the current trade dispute with the US makes it difficult to predict how it will affect shipment volumes. However, he expressed confidence that strong demand for eggs in the US, driven by domestic shortages, could help maintain the current export volume.

Thus, Brazil has shown impressive results in egg exports, which opens up new opportunities for local producers. Strong demand for eggs in international markets, especially in the US, could continue to support the growth of this sector. It is important to note that further developments in global markets and possible trade restrictions could impact export dynamics, and producers need to be prepared for changes.
