Since the beginning of 2023, the Tomsk region has been actively developing export directions, and one of the most notable successes has been the increase in pork supplies to Vietnam . This year, about 200 tons of frozen pork and pork by-products have already been shipped, which indicates the growing interest of Vietnamese buyers in quality products from Russia.
Preparing for export
The process of preparing for the shipment of pork requires strict compliance with veterinary and sanitary standards of both the Eurasian Economic Union and the specific requirements of Vietnam. Rosselkhoznadzor specialists carefully monitor the quality of products to ensure their safety and compliance with international standards. A recent shipment produced 69.5 tonnes of pork, confirming the high standards set for export.
Variety of transportation
Products are delivered by three main modes of transport: road, rail and sea. This allows for flexibility and reliability of logistics operations. Each batch is accompanied by a veterinary certificate approved by the Vietnamese authorities, which is a prerequisite for the successful import of products into the country.
Increase in export volumes
Comparing the data with previous years, one can notice a significant increase in interest in Tomsk pork. In 2022, Vietnamese companies did not purchase products from the Tomsk region, and in 2021 the volumes amounted to only 77 tons. This year, as of mid-October, 192.8 tons of pork had already been exported, which clearly demonstrates success in the field of foreign economic activity.
Importance for the regional economy Pork
exports are important for the economy of the Tomsk region. This not only helps increase the income of local producers, but also creates new jobs. Successful deliveries to Vietnam open new horizons for other agricultural producers in the region, which could lead to further development of the agro-industrial complex.
The export of pork from the Tomsk region to Vietnam has become not just an economic necessity, but also an indicator of the quality and competitiveness of Russian products in the international arena. With each new departure, confidence grows that cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in the agricultural sector will only deepen, opening up new opportunities for both sides. It is important to continue to develop this segment, introduce new technologies and monitor changes in consumer preferences in order to successfully compete in the global market.
