Экспорт свинины: итоги 5 месяцев 2025 года

This is 60% more in volume and 1.8 times more in value than in the same period last year.

The top five key supply destinations included Vietnam , China , Belarus, Hong Kong and Serbia.

Exports to Vietnam increased by 1.9 times in value terms. Growth was recorded in all positions:

pork by-products - plus 6%;

meat - 2.5 times increase;

fat - the volume of deliveries for 5 months exceeded the result for the whole of 2024 .

China shows steady growth:

in March - 4.2 thousand tons;

in April - 7 thousand tons;

in May - 8.5 thousand tons.

Some markets showed rapid dynamics:

Deliveries to Georgia increased 71-fold year-on-year, reaching $5.5 million—almost as much as for the whole of 2024.

Exports to Kazakhstan increased 52-fold, to $4.3 million.

India has become a significant destination: about 280 tons of pork and offal worth $1 million were sent there. This is already higher than for the whole of 2024 (240 tons).

The growth of exports is accompanied by an increase in investment in the industry. According to Kommersant, the Talina Group of Companies is building two new pig farms in Mordovia worth 6.4 billion rubles, each for 70 thousand heads. The company is already among the top 10 pork producers in Russia.

Tavros Group also announced expansion: by 2029, it will invest 14.6 billion rubles in a new complex in the Leningrad Region (60 thousand tons in live weight per year).

And Agroeko will increase production by 7.3%, to 355 thousand tons.

Investments are being spurred by steady growth in domestic prices. According to NTech, by June 15, 2025, the price of commercial pigs had increased by 29% compared to last year and reached RUB 155 per 1 kg.

This is several times faster than the growth in other meat categories - broiler , for example, has increased in price by only 1%.

Export is becoming a key driver for the development of the Russian pig breeding industry.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture’s forecast, by 2030 pork production in Russia will reach 7.2 million tons in live weight.

Exports of meat products in general could grow to $3.8 billion, of which pork would account for $1.3 billion (Agroexport estimate).
