According to the Agroexport center subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture, the EXPORT of agricultural products from RUSSIA amounted to $13.5 billion by June 20, which is 13% higher than the figure for the same period in 2020. In general, by the end of 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture expects that the supply of agricultural products to foreign markets will amount to about $30 billion. Last year, deliveries abroad reached $30.7 billion.

According to Agroexport, grain supplies from Russia by June 20 increased by 11% to $3.8 billion, fish and seafood decreased by 3% to $2.1 billion, and the export of fat and oil products increased by 39% to $3.2 billion. Exports of food and processing industry products increased by 2% to $1.7 billion, MEAT and dairy products - by 26% to $603, other agricultural products - by 10% to $1.9 billion.

The leading buyer of Russian agricultural products is CHINA , which reduced imports by 3% to $1.7 billion. The share of China in the total supply of agricultural products from Russia is 13.2%. The country is a leading buyer of Russian fish, soybeans, sunflower, rapeseed and soybean oils, poultry and beef, wheat FLOUR, chocolate, honey and other products. In second place in terms of purchases is Turkey with a share of 12.1%, which increased imports by 9% to $1.6 billion. Exports to the European Union increased by 28% and amounted to $1.6 billion (the country's share is 12%). The top 10 importers of Russian agricultural products also include SOUTH KOREA, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

In early April, Russian President Vladimir Putin  announced the need to support the export of high value-added agricultural products.

The HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, then noted that now agriculture is systematically moving away exclusively from grain exports, and the share of deliveries of products with a higher added value is growing. “In 2020, we managed to achieve a significant increase in these products. We develop the export of fish and fish products. Here, in 2020, objective difficulties arose in connection with the pandemic, in particular, we had restrictions on the supply of products to China,” he said. “With this in mind, we are now in constant dialogue with colleagues from China and, of course, we have opened alternative routes and sales markets through Japan to Korea, respectively.”

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted earlier that foreign demand for Russian food is growing, and the geography of supplies is changing, so the government plans to simplify the registration of exports of agricultural products.
