Last year, exports totaled over 27,000 tons, and this figure is expected to increase to 35,000 tons in 2025. Velmatov noted that the goal is to EXPORT approximately 10% of the total production volume. CHINA became the main sales market in 2024 , accounting for 60% of exports. Turkey production growth has slowed over the past three to four years: in 2024, production volume amounted to 438,000 tons, a 3.8% increase compared to 2023. According to NAPI forecasts, production will increase by 6% to 465,000 tons in 2025.
The slowdown in growth is attributed to the worsening epizootic situation and a shortage of hatching eggs. RUSSIA has imported virtually no turkey MEAT since 2017, and risks to the industry include a decline in overall meat consumption and stricter requirements for producers. However, the supply of hatching eggs has improved significantly in recent years, raising hopes for further growth in the industry.
