The Resource Group of Companies has received approval for the construction of lamb farming facilities in the Rostov Region.

The plans include the construction of two complexes, each with a capacity of 12,000 breeding stock and a fattening facility for 30,000 young animals. An agreement with the Rostov Region government was signed in October 2022, and the project initially called for the creation of a breeding stock of 54,000 heads by 2024 , as well as approximately 100,000 young animals for fattening. However, the project's implementation was postponed to 2026 without explanation. The news of a re-evaluation of the construction projects indicates the holding company's intention to begin implementing these plans. Lamb and goat MEAT remain niche products in the country, with consumption volumes accounting for only 1.68% in 2024, despite unchanged production over the past 15 years. Experts predict growth in production and demand for lamb both within RUSSIA and abroad.
