Preparations for the sowing campaign are being carried out as planned: sowing is expected to begin on April 7 and end by the end of May. Crop-growing enterprises of the Cherkizovo Group are 100% provided with machinery and seeds. More than 200 pieces of equipment will be involved in the fields of the company, including more than 100 seeding complexes and more than 100 tractors. The total sown area will be 224.4 thousand hectares.
The main part of the Cherkizovo land is located in the Penza region - the area under sowing this year will be 73.4 thousand hectares. Of these, 21.7 thousand hectares will be sown with spring wheat, 23 thousand hectares with soybeans, and 13.4 thousand hectares with sunflower. In the Lipetsk region, 61 thousand hectares are allocated for sowing: 28.8 thousand hectares for soybeans, 17.3 thousand hectares for spring wheat, 3.9 thousand hectares for sunflower, 2.2 thousand hectares for corn, 1.2 thousand hectares - for spring rapeseed.
On the fields of Cherkizovo in the Tambov region, out of 33.7 thousand hectares, it is planned to sow 13.6 thousand hectares with soybeans, 9.3 thousand hectares with spring wheat, and 5.3 thousand hectares with sunflower. In the Voronezh region, 12.5 thousand hectares have been allocated for soybeans, 4.1 thousand hectares for corn, and 7.2 thousand hectares for spring wheat. The total sown area in the Voronezh region will exceed 25 thousand hectares. Of the 20.8 thousand hectares in the Oryol region, 9.1 thousand hectares are planned to be sown with soybeans, 5.6 thousand hectares with spring wheat, and 2 thousand hectares with corn.
In Bashkiria, a new region for Cherkizovo, the sown area this year will be 6.4 thousand hectares. There, 2.9 thousand hectares are allocated for spring wheat, 1.9 thousand hectares for sunflower. Also this year, the company will be sowing for the first time in the Altai Territory on a total area of 4,000 hectares. Spring wheat will be sown on 2 thousand hectares, sunflower - 1.7 thousand hectares, soybeans - 0.3 thousand hectares.
The harvested crop is used by Cherkizovo Group to produce feed for its own pig farms and poultry farms.
