Over the past six months, approximately 10 chicken producers have produced 181,000 tons of product, a 5.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Over the past three months alone, more than 97,000 tons of poultry have been shipped.

"Since chicken has always been the most affordable for consumers, despite the objective reasons for the price increase, the ministry is preparing an appeal to the Federal Antimonopoly Service," the official concluded.

Journalists previously reported that, according to Sergei Mironov, Moscow's restaurant ombudsman, chicken and pork prices increased by 20-30% from March to July. Furthermore, there are issues with supplies from the Stavropol and Belgorod regions.
