GOSTs for low-lactose milk and plant-based meat to be introduced in Russia

He added that since last year the department has been working on a whole line of GOSTs for products that were not previously standardized. Even in such traditional areas as, for example, food products , there are areas where GOSTs have not been implemented, but they are required because the products are popular.

For example, low-lactose milk for baby food. It happens that children are allergic or intolerant to regular milk. Such a GOST is currently being developed.

Also, since last year, work has been underway on a whole line of GOSTs for plant-based food products,  non-animal meat , for example, from soy or other grains.
