The head of the pig farm will be convicted of environmental damage in the amount of billions of rubles

He will appear before the COURT on charges of an environmental crime under three articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Water pollution”, “Destruction of land” and “Destruction or damage to forest plantations” at once. The damage caused was estimated at three billion rubles.

According to the department, at the end of April 2022, under the guise of fertilizing the soil, the HEAD of the pig farm instructed to pour undisinfected animal waste onto land plots in the Kolyvan district. As a result, the land and surface waters of the Amba River were polluted with harmful products of economic activity, as well as the destruction of forest plantations and the death of aquatic biological resources. The criminal case was sent for consideration to the Kolyvansky District Court .
