During the press conference of Vladimir Plotnikov, First Deputy Agrarian Committee of the State Duma, which took place at the Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency, the speaker answered the most topical questions related to solving the problems of developing the agricultural industry

Agriculture annually steadily increases the output of food products. Today, our domestic market is reliably supplied with food, we are already exceeding the Food Security Doctrine in most of the indicators, and are actively increasing exports. To a large extent, this is due to state support for agricultural producers, which is aimed at replenishing production costs and stimulating the most important directions for the development of the industry for the country.

Vladimir Plotnikov highlighted the work being done on concessional lending. The task is to increase the availability of such loans, especially for small businesses: simplifying requirements, reducing the volume of documents.

Speaking about the implementation of the state program for the integrated development of rural areas, Vladimir Plotnikov stressed that the villagers have high hopes for it.

One of the main directions is preferential rural mortgage, which is designed to provide villagers with affordable housing. There are many people who want to take out a mortgage. At the initiative of the United RUSSIA faction, a decision was made to allocate additional budget revenues to this program.

We discussed the problem of wages in the countryside, which are lower than in the whole country. The work of a rural worker is hard work. Here they work not for 8 hours, but as long as necessary, especially during the sowing and harvesting seasons. And in order to interest people to stay in the agricultural sector, not to leave the village, their salary should not be lower than in the city, or even higher. The task of the state is to help agricultural producers increase profitability. This will allow to pay a decent salary and develop the economy.

One of the questions asked during the press conference was about food prices. Answering it, Vladimir Plotnikov made a special emphasis on the fact that price regulation is a very sensitive mechanism. If we abuse it, we can scare away the desire to invest in the agricultural sector. Therefore, it is used pointwise - in relation to specific types of food and is limited in time.

Vladimir Plotnikov informed journalists about the progress of work on the state program for involving agricultural land in circulation and developing the reclamation complex. Its draft has already been prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and is currently being approved by the Government. The program is needed, it will help return millions of hectares of land to circulation, primarily in the Russian Non-Black Earth Region.

Currently, the spring sowing campaign is gaining momentum, which is generally organized.

In the south of the country, it is in full swing, every day more and more regions are included in it. This year we have to sow 600 hectares more. About 51.5 million hectares will be allocated for spring crops. We will increase SUGAR beet crops by 15% in order to avoid price fluctuations in the future.

Vladimir Plotnikov expressed confidence that the peasants would not let them down. We have every reason to say that the country will continue to have bread.
