Geography of Russian imports and exports of meat

The largest meat-importing regions in the Russian Federation are the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Moscow, Smolensk regions and Primorsky Krai. MEAT imports come mainly from Belarus, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Kazakhstan. The main exporting producers are geographically located in the Moscow Region, Stavropol Territory, Belgorod, Tambov, Penza, Kursk, Pskov and Rostov Regions. The largest share of meat exports goes to CHINA , Vietnam, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Saudi Arabia. The volume of exports practically corresponds to the volume of meat imports in RUSSIA. In general, it can be noted that the volume of export-import deliveries is quite stable. The largest volumes of meat imports are observed in April, June and September 2021.

Cattle meat

Imports of cattle meat in Russia significantly exceeds exports. It is about 181 thousand tons. The main consumer regions of imported meat are the cities of St. Petersburg and Moscow, Moscow, Kaliningrad, Smolensk, Leningrad, Oryol, Bryansk, Voronezh regions and Primorsky Krai. Cattle meat is imported mainly from Belarus, Paraguay, Brazil, Colombia, India and Kazakhstan. Buy cattle meat in Russia mainly China, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Belarus. EXPORT is carried out by enterprises in Moscow and Moscow, Bryansk, Voronezh and Kaliningrad regions.

 

 

Pork

The main consumers of Russian pork are Vietnam, Ukraine, Belarus, Mongolia, Kazakhstan.

 

 

Mutton

Imports of mutton meat, similarly to cattle, significantly exceed exports. Import is about 630 tons. The main consumer regions of imported mutton are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Novgorod, Kaliningrad regions and Primorsky Krai. Lamb is imported from New Zealand, Moldova, Iceland, Australia, Kazakhstan, Argentina. The export of lamb is carried out by enterprises of Dagestan, Kalmykia, Astrakhan, Primorsky Territory, Moscow and St. Petersburg, and the main deliveries go to the United Arab Emirates, China, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Singapore, and Korea.

Poultry meat shows approximately equal shares of exports and imports. Import of poultry is about 200 thousand tons. Export is about 240 thousand tons. Poultry meat is imported from St. Petersburg, Moscow and the region, Primorsky Krai, Kaliningrad, Smolensk, Omsk and Novosibirsk regions. Russian importers buy poultry meat in Belarus, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Argentina. The main countries consuming Russian poultry are China, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, Vietnam. Export is carried out by enterprises in Moscow and the region, Stavropol Territory, Belgorod, Tambov, Penza Region, Krasnodar Territory, etc.
