The strengthening of cooperation between veterinary services and relevant departments was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of France Marc Fesneau and the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry of Italy Francesco Lollobrigida.

The contact group included French and Italian experts in HEALTH and hunting at the regional and national levels. The continuous exchange of information and the harmonization of control and accounting measures are seen as effective tools in the fight against ASF , which is spreading in Europe.

The group will coordinate strategies and share experience in the operational management of the epizootic situation, including monitoring of wild boar populations in the border areas.
