Farmers of the Rostov region in 2023 will receive grants of almost 165 million rubles

He explained that the amount of funding for grants for the development of family farms will be 53.4 million rubles, Agrostartup grants - 39.9 million rubles, grants for the development of the material and technical base of agricultural consumer cooperatives - 71.2 million rubles.

"Competitive activities to provide grant support are planned to be completed in March this year," Goncharov said.

According to him, support in the form of concessional lending is provided as additional financial assistance for agricultural producers of the region.

"For concessional short-term lending in 2023, the Rostov region was allocated a limit in the amount of 1.987 billion rubles, of which 771.36 million rubles were allocated to attract new concessional loans," Goncharov said.

He added that the development of the farming sector is a priority in the agrarian policy of the region. Almost 8 thousand farms operate in the region, which cultivate about 2.6 million hectares and produce 30% of the gross agricultural output.

"In 2023, the amount of support provided for under the state program for the development of agriculture to support the agro-industrial complex of the region will remain at the level of last year (5.3 billion rubles). We expect that support for small businesses will be maintained at a level of at least 30% of the total financing of the agro-industrial complex," Goncharov said.

As reported, the Rostov region in 2023 will allocate 1.3 billion rubles for the development of animal husbandry, 3.1 billion rubles - to support crop production, including 596.6 million rubles for grain subsidies.
