Deputy Governor andMinister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region Konstantin Rachalovsky said that over the seven months of this year, almost 5.4 billion rubles were allocated to regional farmers, which is 60.9% of the established limit. During the peak season of field work, agricultural producers in the region receive the necessary financial resources in the form of subsidies from the federal and regional budgets. 3.8 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes, of which 1.17 million rubles are intended for the production and sale of grain crops.
In various areas of subsidies, farmers received state support for the following purposes: 651.2 million rubles for the purchase of agricultural machinery, 572.0 million rubles for the purchase of feed for certain sub-sectors of livestock farming, 233 million rubles for their own MILK production , 232.1 million rubles for support small forms of farming and the development of rural tourism, as well as 151.6 million rubles for the purchase of breeding young farm animals.
The regional agricultural department noted that 2.5 billion rubles have already been allocated from the federal budget for the villagers of the Rostov region, which is 80% of the established limit.
Also, the conduct of seasonal field work and the development of other areas of the industry are facilitated by preferential lending to farmers. Over the course of seven months, Don agricultural producers received 12.3 billion rubles in the form of preferential short-term loans.
In addition, during this period, agricultural enterprises in the Rostov region received over 2.4 billion rubles in the form of preferential investment loans.
State support contributed to the development of the industry, including import-substituting production, as well as the production of competitive products. In particular, in the first half of the year in the Rostov region, the volume of food production increased by almost 6% compared to the same period last year. For a number of positions, the growth ranged from 20% to 70%. In general, over the six months, the region produced products worth 116 billion rubles, which is 2.7% more than in the same period last year, as noted by Konstantin Rachalovsky.
