Recently, the Arbitration COURT of the Voronezh Region approved a settlement agreement between Plem-Reproductor Donskaya Turkey LLC and the regional Ministry of Economic Development. This agreement provides for the adaptation of lupine processing to produce feed that will be used in the production of turkey MEAT. The goal of this project is to meet the requirements of the Dutch company Hendrix Genetics, a partner of Don Turkey, with which it is planned to build a breeding facility for 6 million eggs per year, worth 2 billion rubles.
However, the project encountered some difficulties and its completion was delayed. In this regard, the regional Ministry of Economic Development was considering the collection of tax breaks for this project. But as a result of the settlement agreement, the parties decided to consider the contract terminated by agreement and the company will have to return 26 million rubles.
The project, concluded in 2017, was associated with the assignment of the status of a particularly significant project to the company, which included the construction of a plant for processing lupine. The first stage of construction was successfully completed, but in 2018 there was a shortage of raw materials due to a decrease in white lupine crops. In this situation, Donskaya Turkey was able to agree with Hendrix Genetics on the development of breeding poultry farming and built an incubator for more than 5 million eggs per year by 2020. Now the company is planning to build a second-order parent stock breeding facility in the Nizhnedevitsky district. This project became key for the company.
However, Hendrix Genetics presented a condition to provide the parent stock at the future breeding facility with specialized feed. For their production, it is possible to use existing lupine processing facilities after reconstruction. But for this it is necessary to make changes to the project for which benefits were previously provided.
The upcoming expansion of Donskaya Turkey production in the Voronezh region is an important step towards the development of the regional poultry industry. Despite some difficulties, the company is confident in its capabilities and strives to achieve its goals.
