The cost of the new line and its installation amounted to 227 million rubles. The total amount of Damate's investments in the project for the production of hams at the turkey deep processing plant exceeded 1.3 billion rubles.
The need to install a second line is due to increased consumer demand for ready-to-eat products. Whole-muscle turkey hams are very popular with consumers - about 4.7 thousand tons of these products were sent to consumers in 2022. The ham produced on the new line is ready to eat, cut into slices, the customer only needs to open the package and put the product on a plate.
The line is almost fully automated, the equipment is installed in a separate room of the plant. it consists of a high performance slicer and packer. On the line, portion cutting of loaves of various hams into slices (thin slices), 2 mm thick, automatic weighing and selection of portions weighing 120 grams, automatic stacking in a thermoformed tray, marking and stacking in a box.
Damate launched the ham slicing line in December 2022, then experts tested it on various products, worked out cutting, stacking, and brought the equipment to design capacity.
