"Damate" spoke about the digitalization of the livestock industry at the demo day of the ICC of the Russian agro-industrial complex

Damate became a co-organizer of a joint demo day of industrial competence centers (ICCs) of the Russian agro-industrial sector. On the basis of a dairy farming complex in the Tyumen region, the company is implementing a particularly significant project to introduce a cattle herd management system .

The Damate group of companies was one of the organizers and took part in a joint demo day of industrial competence centers (ICCs) of the Russian agro-industrial sector. The event took place on April 18, 2024 as part of the international exhibition and forum “Russia”.

The demo day was attended by the DIRECTOR of the department of digital development and management of state information resources of the agro-industrial complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexey Pavlyuchenko, vice-president for innovations of the Damate Group of Companies, deputy chairman of the Livestock Production Center Olga Chebunina, general director of the RFRIT Alexander Pavlov, director of the project office of the operator of industry projects of the Digital Economy of the Skolkovo Foundation Ekaterina Stolbova, director of the Digital Transformation of Industries direction of the ANO Digital Economy Alexey Sidoryuk, deputy director for technological development of the IIDF Sergey Alimbekov, director of the it department of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies Alexey Leonov, deputy director on IT LLC "GK "Rusagro" Vladimir Gorokhov, as well as representatives of agro-industrial holdings, large vendor companies and integrators of IT solutions and startups in the agro-industrial complex industry.

Olga Chebunina, Vice-President for Innovation of the Damate group of companies, Deputy Chairman of the Livestock Research Center, spoke at the plenary session, where she spoke about the results and work plans of the Livestock Management Center, including the formation of a new IT landscape detailing the industry’s business processes.

“In terms of herd management, the situation is different: for some animal species such IT solutions already exist, for others they are in the process of development, and for others there are no digital solutions. Now, on the basis of its own dairy complex in the Tyumen region, Damate is implementing a particularly significant project to implement the cattle herd management system “Milk 2.0”. After the implementation of the project, it is planned that it will be scaled to the entire Russian livestock industry,” said Olga Chebunina, vice president for innovation of the Damate group of companies.

During her speech, Olga Chebunina called on IT companies to evaluate the possibility of covering industry needs with digital solutions for subsequent integration into the industry’s IT landscape. She also emphasized that ICC, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, have the opportunity to assist in the search for anchor customers for the implementation of digital import substitution projects as part of filing an application for the status of a particularly significant project. During the discussion, it was noted that the active interaction of the ICC with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, the Skolkovo Foundation, RFIT, IIDF and participants in the livestock industry leads to both assistance in replication and popularization of industry solutions.

Demo days are a series of events designed to demonstrate the implementation of IT projects for import substitution in each sector of the economy. The development, creation and implementation of domestic digital products are carried out by industrial competence centers - specialized institutes formed by decision of the Government of the Russian Federation in the summer of 2022. Members of the ICC of the agro-industrial complex, in addition to representatives of the Damate group of companies, are representatives of the Rusagro Group of Companies, the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies, Agrosila JSC, Molvest JSC, Resurs State Enterprise, Rost Group of Companies, Agroholding Steppe JSC.

In the North Caucasus Federal District, Damate is developing a lamb project, which consists of a service company for farmers, feedlots and the country's largest lamb processing plant. The raw material base is the region's farms. Damate produced more than 3,000 tons of lamb in slaughter weight by the end of 2023.

In the Tyumen region there is a livestock dairy complex for 13.5 thousand heads of cattle. In 2023, the company produced 59 thousand tons of raw MILK. Unique projects for the country in the field of genetics and breeding are being implemented on the basis of the complex.

The company's bank of agricultural lands totals more than 100 thousand hectares.

Over 11 thousand people work at the company's enterprises throughout the country.

The company sells products under the trademarks “Indilite”, “Ozerka”, BazarCo, “Karachaevskaya Chernaya”, Salima, “Tolko!” throughout the country and develops EXPORT direction.
