As reported by Damate to the Federal State Budgetary Institution Agroexport, certifying poultry meat and by-product production facilities for export to China is a rather complex process. Damate first received permission to export to China in 2018, according to the statement. Obtaining permission for export from Damate's turkey and duck production complex in the Rostov Region took nearly three years.

As Damata explained, certification by Rosselkhoznadzor was first obtained , after which electronic applications were submitted to include the enterprises in the CIFER information system and obtain export rights. However, the process did not stop there, the company noted: throughout the application review process, GTU inspectors repeatedly submitted additional questions regarding production technology.

Daria Lashchenko, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales at Damate Group, noted that Damate is actively developing its export business. At the end of 2022, the company's exports totaled 3.7 billion rubles, and this figure is expected to be exceeded in 2023, with a significant portion going to China. According to the expert, the Chinese market is demonstrating a steadily growing demand for turkey meat , and the company intends to expand its export portfolio. For example, red meat—turkey drumsticks and hams—is traditionally in demand in China, and duck offal is also planned.
