"Damate" sent the first turkey for slaughter from new sites in the Penza region

"Damate" sent the first turkey for slaughter from new poultry sites in the Mokshansky district of the Penza region. The sites were launched in 2021 as part of a project to expand the production capacity of turkey MEAT from 155,000 to 207,000 tons per year. To implement plans to expand to previously existing poultry houses, it is planned to build an additional 128 new poultry buildings in the region.

Damate will build a total of 64 new poultry houses on the territory of the Moksha district. In the villages of Pless and Znamenskoye, 16 poultry houses for rearing and 48 poultry houses for fattening males and females will be put into operation. After reaching full capacity, the sites will produce more than a million turkeys per year.

At the end of 2021, an 8-building site for rearing poultry was already put into operation and 24 poultry buildings for fattening females and males were put into operation on the territory of the Mokshansky district of the Penza region. In the same period, the first planting of chickens was made in the amount of more than 275 thousand heads. In accordance with the schedule, at the end of January, the first batch of turkeys from the new sites has already been sent for slaughter.

For the effective functioning of poultry houses, modern infrastructure and communications will also be created - these are two water intake units, a weighing station, four hangars, and two specialized dung storage facilities.

The contractor of the company conducts construction and installation works in stages in accordance with the schedule. All work is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. Damate will additionally invest 12.6 billion rubles in the expansion of the poultry project, of which more than 4.8 billion rubles in the construction of new poultry houses in the Moksha region.

Thanks to the construction of new poultry buildings, "Damate" will provide 109 people with additional jobs in the region. Preference for the employment of employees will be given to candidates from the local population.

At the beginning of June 2021, the company announced the expansion of the capacity of the turkey production and processing project in the Penza region. The company plans to reach the declared production capacity and complete the increase in production capacity to 207 thousand tons by the end of 2023.
