The Damate group of companies has started deliveries of turkeys to the countries of East Africa. Mozambique became the first country of delivery. A batch of 27 tons of turkey MEAT was shipped to buyers last week.

The composition of the first delivery is similar to the product range shipped on a regular basis to West African countries. Its main part is frozen natural semi-finished products from turkey. In the short term, Damate plans to expand its range of deliveries to East Africa by adding highly processed products, which are already actively supplied to the western part of the continent.

The strategy for the development of supplies to the countries of the East Coast of Africa is being implemented by the Damate group of companies in accordance with the task set by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture during the Gulfood exhibition in 2020. In 9 months of 2021, Damate exported 3.5 times more products to Africa than in the whole of 2020.

“Entering the east coast of Africa is the result of the systematic implementation of a strategy aimed at developing cooperation with African countries and organizing regular supplies of turkey meat to this region. Due to the convenience of logistics, the West Coast was mastered by Damate in the first place. But the entire continent as a whole plays a significant role in Damate's EXPORT strategy. Ultimately, the company's goal is to cover the entire African region, ensuring a stable supply of high quality turkey products,” said Rashid Khairov, CEO of Damate Group of Companies.
