Systematic work on the application of innovative solutions to technological processes has a positive impact on ensuring stable production results . The most significant of them are artificial intelligence and remote monitoring of the herd.
The implementation of the country's first project in the field of cattle genetics , which has been implemented at the enterprise since the beginning of 2021, also played an important role. As part of this project, Damate uses advanced genetic technologies at the complex, including genomic testing and IVF.
The Damate complex houses Holstein animals. The breed is well adapted to cold climates and is resistant to low temperatures. The average daily milk yield for the past year exceeded 31.4 liters per dairy cow.
In 2022, Damate was the first in RUSSIA to determine the genetic potential of the entire herd of a dairy farm using genomic selection technology, which makes it possible to identify the hidden genetic potential of cows immediately after birth. The company continued this work last year and additionally carried out genotyping of about 4 thousand heads. To date, 100% of the replacement livestock has been genotyped. The results obtained made it possible to change the structure of the herd for the better and create a breeding core. Over the past year, the complex’s specialists have continued to systematically introduce animals into the herd based on genomic typing, which makes it possible to improve the milk productivity of the herd and maintain a high level of milk yield.
Damate continues to develop livestock breeding and increases sales of highly productive cattle from its own breeding farm in the Tyumen region. In 2023, the company sold more than 800 HEAD of breeding Holstein heifers and heifers.
Let us remind you that the Damate dairy complex was officially opened in 2017; in 2020, the third stage of the farm was put into operation.
