The ceremony in honor of the opening of the calf house was attended by the president of the agricultural holding Vurnar Meat Processing Plant Yuri Popov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic - Minister of Agriculture Sergey Artamonov, Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Issues, Nature Management and Ecology of the State Council of Chuvashia Alexei Shurchanov, DIRECTOR of OJSC Vurnar Meat Processing Plant » Nikolai Alivanov, HEAD of the administration of the Vurnarsky district Andrey Tikhonov, heads of a number of agricultural enterprises in the district.
Yury Popov, General Director of the agricultural holding, noted that the company is developing in step with the times, does not stand in one place, but invests in the development of agriculture. Every year, the agricultural holding builds and puts into operation more and more new facilities in the field of agro-industrial complex. Last year, a new cowshed was built, and this year another barn was built, designed for 400, and in fact for 440 calves. In total, the Maldykasinsky dairy farm contains 5,050 head of cattle, of which 2,035 heads are a dairy herd. Every day, the farm produces 40 tons of MILK, which is sent to the dairies of the republic. Having a good fodder base, the enterprise intends to increase milk yield up to 50 tons per day.
Yuri Popov emphasized that the increase in the number of animals contributes to an increase in the productivity of both milk and meat. The enterprise is further interested in investing in the agricultural sector, because it is both profitable and cost-effective.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergei Artamonov noted that projects in the agricultural sector this year were implemented a little less than planned. The built livestock complexes are designed for 4.5 thousand cattle places, while the plan is 5 thousand cattle places. The reason was the rise in prices for building materials. However, all planned projects will be implemented next year. If literally 5 years ago 5,000 kg of milk was milked from 1 cow in the republic, today it is already about 6,500 kg of milk, and in breeding farms - about 9,000 kg. This is possible thanks to the introduction of new technologies - fodder production, the production of high-quality fodder.
