Now, farms with infected animals will be quarantined, and owners will be required to keep sick cattle separately from the rest. Compliance with the conditions will be monitored by the veterinary supervision staff. Violators face administrative liability and heavy fines.
We add that cattle are checked for leukemia annually in the region. it is considered chronic. To date, sick animals are registered only in three farms. This is three and a half times less than in 2005. Most of the infected cows are registered in the household plots of the Ivanovo and Bureya districts.
