The territory of the broiler breeding complex in the Lebedyansky district, opened by Cherkizovo Group in October, was previously used to maintain parent stock. The complex includes 32 buildings with a total area of 33 thousand square meters. m. Investments in reconstruction, including updating feeding, watering, ventilation and sanitary inspection systems, exceeded 400 million rubles. The decision to repurpose the sites is related to the company’s plans to increase broiler MEAT production volumes.
At the end of 2022, the Cherkizovo Group is the largest producer of broilers in the Lipetsk region with a volume of 120.9 thousand tons in live weight - this is 60.3% of the total poultry meat production in the region. The opening of additional growing sites will allow the company to increase broiler production by 12 thousand tons per year. Taking into account poultry enterprises in other Russian regions, Cherkizovo can produce more than 1 million tons of broiler meat per year.
The Lipetsk region is one of the core regions for the business of the Cherkizovo Group. Here the company is also a leader in the production of pork, ranks first in the production of compound feed, has a significant share in the production of meat processing products and manages a land bank with an area of 61 thousand hectares (soybeans, wheat, sunflowers, corn and rapeseed are grown on them). In addition, in Yelets, Cherkizovo owns one of the country's largest oil extraction plants, where soybean meal, oil and lecithin are produced. Currently, the Group provides jobs to about 4 thousand residents of the Lipetsk region.
