
The authorities of the Chelyabinsk region record an increase in the production of all types of MEAT in January this year as a result of the stabilization of the epizootic situation, said the Minister of Agriculture of the region Alexei Kobylin during the Interregional Agro-Industrial Exhibition on Wednesday.
“After the stabilization of the epizootic situation, following the results of work in January, we note an increase in the production of meat of all types (compared to January 2021 - IF) by 13%, including due to poultry farming - by 19%. Already at the end of last year, we noted an increase in the number of pigs, by the end of January this led to an increase in production at the level of 7.7%,” said Kobylin.
As follows from the materials prepared for his speech, in January the production of meat of all kinds in the Chelyabinsk region amounted to 37.8 thousand tons, of which 24 thousand tons were poultry meat, 10.6 thousand tons were pork.
In 2022, livestock enterprises in the region plan to produce pork and poultry meat 145 thousand tons and 275 thousand tons, respectively.
According to the Chelyabinskstat, meat production for all categories of farms in the Chelyabinsk region in 2021 amounted to 448.2 thousand tons (a decrease of 9.3% by 2020), cattle meat - 33.7 thousand tons (a decrease of 3 .2%), pork - 140.7 thousand tons (decrease by 10.1%), poultry meat - 267.3 thousand tons (decrease by 9.4%).
