
Last week, from January 11 to 14, prices for some basic products fell and even the growth in prices for vegetables slowed down, according to Rosstat data.
So, for the second week in a row, pork and poultry MEAT are becoming cheaper: last week, pork fell in price by 0.27%, chicken - by 0.42%. A slight decrease in prices is also observed for sausages. The prices for mutton have hardly changed. Of meat, only the cost of beef increased - by 0.25%. 
 
 Chicken eggs on average in the country became cheaper by 1.1%. Prices for millet decreased by 0.9%, chocolate sweets - by 0.6%. Sunflower oil prices fell slightly (0.1%). But SUGAR prices rose by 0.5%. 
 
 The most expensive products last week: pasta (0.7%), wheat FLOUR (0.6%), sterilized MILK and buckwheat (0.4%). Butter, margarine, sour cream, vermicelli, rice, vodka (0.3%) also slightly increased in price.
 
 Prices for fruits and vegetables increased by an average of 0.9%. Thus, white cabbage rose in price by 2.1%, tomatoes - by 2.0%, table beets - by 1.3%, bananas - by 1.1%, carrots - by 0.7%, apples and cucumbers - by 0 .6%, potatoes - by 0.3%, onions - by 0.1%. And this is a significantly more modest increase than just a few weeks ago. 
 
 In general, weekly inflation amounted to 0.1%, since the beginning of January - 0.66%.
