Bryansk region has become a strategic meat producer - Director of the Department of Economic Development Mikhail Erokhin

New "meat" investment projects in the Bryansk agro-industry ensured significant growth in the agro-industrial complex already in the first quarter of this year - agricultural products in the region were produced for 23 billion rubles in the first three months. This was announced in his Telegram channel by the director of the regional department of economic development Mikhail Erokhin.

“Our agro-industrial complex set a record already in the first quarter of 2023. In a comparable assessment and in current prices, we add 19%, having produced products worth more than 23 billion rubles, ”wrote Mr. Erokhin and explained that at the beginning of the year the investment project, which increased the number of pigs in the agricultural organizations of the Bryansk region, largely contributed to growth. more than 1.5 times. According to Mikhail Erokhin, it is about the construction of 20 sites of the pig-breeding complex of Miratorg-Kursk LLC.

In this regard, as well as in connection with the implementation of a number of other projects, the head of the department notes, the Bryansk region has become a "strategic meat producer." Among the enterprises that contributed to this, in addition to Miratorg, the agricultural holding Okhotno, Bryansk Meat Processing Plant, Chicken Kingdom-Bryansk are also named.

“We have the first place in the Central Federal District and the second place in Russia in terms of the number of cattle, the first place in Russia in the production of cattle meat. The Bryansk region occupies a leading place in the country in terms of potato production, first place in the yield of rapeseed, corn, fourth place in terms of grain and leguminous crops,” Mikhail Erokhin added.
