The balance was published by the Brazilian Association of Angus and Ultra Blacks, which also indicated a new record for slaughter volumes. Last year, 510,000 animals were shot, up 1.5% from 2023.

In addition, the utilization rate of end products obtained from carcasses increased by 19.9%.

The president of the Brazilian Angus and Ultra Black Sheep Association, José Paulo Cairoli, stresses that the positive figures indicate the success of the program and the consolidation of the breed.

"We are breaking records and achieving our goals year after year. In fact, 2025 will be better in every way, precisely because large MEAT processing plants are increasingly aware of the need for Angus certification. The market demands it. Animal husbandry has evolved significantly, and this scenario gives us confidence that the program is on the right track. "The success of the breed is the success of the meat," he estimates.

Agricultural engineer Wilson Brochmann, DIRECTOR of the Certified Angus Meat Program, believes the increased use of carcasses is driven by international demand for new, specific cuts.

“Many markets that were not used to consuming it began to look for certified Angus beef , which created demand that directly impacted the utilization rate, reaching almost 20%,” he notes.
