Bolivian beef exports are subject to a 44,000-ton quota, and CHINA is among the EXPORT destinations. However, China has warned of alleged quota violations, as Bolivia believes it exceeds the established export limit. Ronny Salvatierra, HEAD of the SENASAG department in Beni, announced that a nationwide audit will be conducted and will conclude on Friday.
"The complaint, filed through various channels, is that the national MEAT processing plant exported meat to China improperly (...) The complaint alleges that the volume of imports exceeded Bolivia's export quota," he explained.
