More than half of Russians surveyed believe that all products should be labeled

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the marketing agency "Rusopros" and the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), which is the operator of the labeling system.

- According to the agency's research, 75.8% of Russians consider the problem of counterfeit goods and illegal trade to be urgent and requiring a solution by the state. At the same time, more than 75% of respondents are sure that the labeling of goods will help solve the problem, the press service of the CRPT says.

The top three products that need to be labeled in the first place, from the point of view of the respondents, were medicines (71.2%), ALCOHOL (60.3%) and food (55.2%).

According to the study, men are more distrustful of the authenticity of alcohol, shoes, clothes, tobacco, electronics, food, water and drinks, tires and auto parts, building materials and tools, household appliances, sporting goods. In turn, women clearly distinguish only one category of goods, the authenticity of which they doubted more often than men - perfumery.

The study was conducted at the end of March 2021 using an online survey. it was attended by 1,610 respondents aged 25 to 65 who make purchases at least once a month and live in the largest cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg), as well as in a number of other regions of RUSSIA.
