it is planned to increase beef production in Primorye to 37,000 tons per year. The plan for the next five years was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of the region Andrey Bronts.
According to the minister, today the food market of the region is provided with pork, borscht vegetables and MILK.
“Potatoes are now in abundance, there are still 4.5 thousand tons in storage. For carrots and beets, we have technologically re-equipped, this year we will introduce an additional vegetable store. Pork, including chilled pork, is provided, the poultry MEAT project is being revived. Milk is represented by Primorye, Belarusian producers and other regions of the country. Cooperatives also buy, process and supply milk to retail chains. There is no shortage of dairy products,” Andrey Bronts emphasized.
At the same time, according to him, there is not enough beef in the region. At the moment, the production of this meat in the Primorsky Territory is only seven thousand tons per year.
“It is necessary to produce 37,000 tons of beef per year - this is a plan for the next five years. Now we are developing projects, looking for sites, inviting investors,” the HEAD of the department said.
Recall that the Governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that one of the most important tasks is to ensure food security in the region. To do this, the Government of the Territory is cooperating with the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA, annually increasing production volumes.
