More than 300 b2b meetings were held during a business mission in Uzbekistan

Within three days, more than 300 bilateral b2b negotiations between representatives of Russian and Uzbek business took place. An exposition of Russian food products was organized, as well as an extensive business program, including a plenary session, industry group meetings, a round table dedicated to the HoReCa and retail sectors, as well as a working meeting of exporters with representatives of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange.

On the last day of the mission, the Russian delegation visited the Makro retail chain, where they got acquainted with the assortment and held negotiations with the retailer's management, and also visited the MILK Euro Food margarine and spread factory . Top managers of the company gave a tour of the enterprise, spoke about production, the need for imported raw materials, as well as consumer demand and preferences in the Republic.

From the Russian side, 26 manufacturers and 3 industry unions took part in the mission, from the Uzbek side - more than 70 companies interested in importing Russian agricultural products.

“Russia considers Uzbekistan as one of the key partners in Central Asia, close and effective relations have been built between the countries in the agricultural sector. During the mission, we saw the openness and interest of Uzbek colleagues in further deepening cooperation and forming sustainable mutually beneficial ties,” said Dmitry Krasnov, HEAD of the Agroexport Federal Center.

“Our company is probably the largest distributor of food products, household chemicals and personal hygiene products in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main activity is the import and distribution of food products from RUSSIA. Uzbek consumers have great confidence in Russian products, both in terms of quality and price. I am sure that cooperation with the Russian Federation will develop,” said Mansur Yuldashev, Logistics DIRECTOR of Balton Trading Asia.

“The Makro supermarket chain has about 70 markets. We recently analyzed our assortment matrix, and it turned out that 30% are goods that have Russia as their country of origin . Therefore, we are very pleased to see Russian suppliers in Tashkent and are always ready to consider new proposals from manufacturers from Russia,” said Abror Kuchkarov, import manager of the Makro Market retail chain.

“Uzbekistan is one of the most promising markets for the EXPORT of dairy products from Russia. Our products here can be very competitive, and until recently, Russian dairymen, it seems to me, underestimated the potential of this market. I hope that within a short period of time after the business mission, we will see practical results related to the increase in Russian exports of dairy products to the Republic of Uzbekistan,” commented Artem Belov, General Director of the National Union of Milk Producers.

“Our group of companies plans to take an active part in the development of the export direction. During the mission, we found many partners in Uzbekistan who are interested in working together. We will sign agreements of intent, and negotiations are also underway with wholesale Uzbek companies on exclusive distribution rights,” said Alexander Malikov, General Director of Shakhun Moloko Management Company.
