Belarus has self-sufficiency in chicken eggs at the level of 120-125% of the population's needs. This means that the country produces 50% more eggs per month than it consumes. The domestic market requires about 140 million eggs, while 60 million are supplied to RUSSIA. There are also no problems with the supply of chicken; the stores are fully stocked.
Minister Bartosz stressed that the situation is under control and the government is paying special attention to this issue. Private enterprises will also provide priority to the domestic market. Belarus is in close contact with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture to discuss possible supplies.
It should be noted that Russia has encountered problems in the supply of eggs and some breeds of livestock. President Putin announced the readiness of a number of countries, including Belarus, to help with the supply of these products.
