Belarus to become largest importer of Russian pork in 2024

Comparing current data with last year's, it is clear that in 2023 Belarus imported 83 thousand tons, which demonstrates a significant increase in demand for this product in 2024. In second and third place in terms of import volumes are Vietnam and CHINA , which purchased 45.4 thousand tons and 21.2 thousand tons, respectively. This indicates a high level of confidence in the quality of Russian products.
In addition to pork, Belarus has also significantly increased its purchases of beef from RUSSIA, supplying 5.9 thousand tons in 2024 , which is more than three times higher than in 2023. China remains the leader in imports of Russian beef with 17.5 thousand tons. These changes are likely due to changes in consumer preferences and the economic situation in the country.
In addition, in 2024, Russia significantly increased imports of Belarusian animal products, reaching 350 thousand tons, which confirms the strengthening of mutual trade. Belarus also increased exports of dairy products to Russia to one million tons, emphasizing the high quality of its products on the Russian market.
Thus, 2024 has become a landmark year for Belarusian-Russian trade relations, especially in the field of MEAT products, which indicates further prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.
