At the beginning of 2015, the number of cows in the Republic of Belarus amounted to 1.5 million heads, the official said.
 
The EXPORT of dairy products from the Republic of Belarus in 2014 amounted to $5.6 billion. "The geography of supplies is expanding - in 2014, dairy products were exported to more than 40 countries of the world. In 5 months of 2015, deliveries began to the Philippines, Niger, Syria and other countries," - said Alexei Bogdanov. - "Supplies to the regions of America increased by 1.3%, supplies to African countries increased by 6 times. Currently, the share of dairy products in the total volume of agricultural exports is 68.2%. The main export positions are: cheeses - 30%, SOM - 17 %, butter - 16%, SCM - 6%, cottage cheese - 5%.

The representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food also noted that in 2014 the consumption of dairy products per capita in Belarus amounted to 707 kg. Today, the country is 85% provided with its own food.
