Azerbaijan has imposed a ban on the import of small cattle from the Ivanovo region

The Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan has set temporary restrictions on the import of small cattle and livestock products from the Ivanovo region of RUSSIA, where an outbreak of sheep pox and goat pox has been registered. 

After the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) reported on the outbreak of Aujeszky's disease in the French region of Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, Azerbaijan suspended the import of pigs and pork from the epizootically disadvantaged territory.

Due to outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Haskovo (Bulgaria), Timisoara (Romania) and Bratislava (Slovakia), a temporary ban on live poultry and poultry products from quarantine areas has been introduced.

Control has been strengthened to prevent the transit of potentially dangerous products through the territory of Azerbaijan.
