Caring for farmers allows the Moscow region to take a leading position in the production of various agricultural products. This was stated by the governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov during an interview.
“The Moscow region is already in first place for cheese, and next year it will also be for berries. Annually increase the volume of MILK production. By 2023, they plan to reach the milestone of 1 million tons per year. In terms of greenhouse vegetables, the Moscow Region is in the top 3 in the country and fully provides itself with this type of product,” Vorobyov said.
He noted that one of the most important measures to support agricultural producers is the annual payment for the maintenance of cattle and for increasing milk production. In addition, farmers receive subsidies for the purchase of breeding cows, grants for the development of family farms, reimbursement for the purchase of machinery and equipment. In the sale of products, the authorities of the region help organize agricultural fairs and new points of sale.
