Alime Zaredinova: Production of Crimean agricultural products in 2021 increased by more than 19%

According to preliminary data from Krymstat, the production of Crimean agricultural products in 2021 increased by more than 19% compared to 2020. This was announced by the Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alime Zaredinova, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation writes.

“At the same time, the index of crop production for 2021 amounted to 136%. The total sown area of ​​agricultural crops in the Republic of Crimea in 2021 amounted to more than 786 thousand hectares, which is 103% of the 2020 level. The gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops in all categories of farms amounted to 1 million 430 thousand tons, which is more than 57% higher than in 2020,” Alime Zaredinova specified.

The interim minister also said that the sowing area of ​​winter crops for the 2022 harvest amounted to 542,000 hectares, which is 1.3% more than the sowing area for the last year's harvest.

Alime Zaredinova noted the growth in the production of vegetables, fruits, berries and grapes in the Crimea.

“The gross harvest of open ground vegetables in farms of all categories of the region in 2021 is 0.7% more than in 2020, the harvest of greenhouse vegetables is 8.3% higher compared to 2020. Almost 33% more fruits and berries were harvested. The gross grape harvest was 21.2% more than in 2020. In 2021, the laying of perennial fruit plantations was carried out on an area of ​​​​1256.5 hectares, vineyards - 959 hectares, ”commented the Acting HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture of Crimea.

Alime Zaredinova also reported on the good growth rates of the indicators of the livestock sector in the republic.

“As of January 1, 2022, compared to the beginning of 2021, the number of cattle increased by 8.3% in agricultural organizations, and poultry by 7.3%. Since the beginning of the year, the number of cattle in peasant (farmer) farms has increased by more than 3%, there has been an increase of 1.6% in the number of cows, and 1.9% in sheep and goats,” the Acting Minister informed.

In January-December 2021, egg production in agricultural organizations amounted to 167.3 million eggs, an increase of 9.7% compared to January-December 2020. In peasant (farm) farms - 2.1 million units, an increase of 20.3%.
