The African swine fever (ASF) virus was found in products that were stored at the warehouse of the Voronezh logistics company OOO Derzhavin.

According to local media, MEAT infected with the ASF virus was brought to the warehouse of LLC Derzhavin from the Bryansk pig-breeding enterprise LLC Druzhba.

it is planned to introduce ASF quarantine at the infected facility until October 7.

Interfax failed to get an operational comment from Derzhavin LLC and the regional veterinary department.

ASF at one of the sites of Druzhba LLC was detected at the end of August, according to the website of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR department for the Bryansk, Smolensk and Kaluga regions. The territory of site N10 in the village of Letoshniki, Zhukovsky district, Bryansk region, was recognized as an epizootic focus. Quarantine was established on the territory by the decree of the Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz dated September 1.

As reported, the first outbreak of ASF in the Voronezh region this year was registered on the territory of the Khopersky Reserve, where wild boars died from ASF in one of the forestries. In June, an outbreak of ASF was detected at the LLC Vorobyovka-Agro enterprise, where it was planned to kill more than 500 heads of pigs.

According to the SPARK-Interfax analytical system, Derzhavin LLC, a logistics and distribution company, was registered in Voronezh in 2015. The main activity is wholesale non-specialized trade in food products, drinks and tobacco products. According to the company's website, the total area of ​​storage facilities is 1800 sq.m. Derzhavin serves regional chains, retail and wholesale customers, HoReCa in the Voronezh, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Tambov and Tula regions, as well as the cities of Kaluga and Ryazan.
