Abi: the status of a well-known trademark was assigned to the Starodvorie brand

The press service of the Abi company announces the assignment of the status of a well-known trademark to another brand of sausages - Starodvorie.

The Starodvorye brand is included in the Register of Well-Known Trademarks in the Russian Federation in the category of sausage products. He is the second in Abi's portfolio to receive this prestigious status, the company says.

The main advantages of a well-known trademark are that it is valid indefinitely, and the protection of intellectual property rights extends not only to the classes in which it is registered, but also to “non-uniform” goods. 

Starodvorie is a domestic sausage brand with a rich history. In the current name, it has been on the market since 2016 and continues the traditions of the Starodvorskie Kolbasy brand, registered in 2004.

The Starodvorskie Kolbasy brand had the same name as the manufacturing plant, CJSC Starodvorskie Kolbasy (one of the flagship manufacturing enterprises of the Abi company). The product range of the plant includes a wide range of sausage products, developed taking into account the nuances of taste preferences and income levels in different groups of the target audience.

At one time, products under the Starodvorskiye Kolbasy brand were awarded numerous awards for high quality and successful recipe solutions. In 2013, the demand for products on the consumer market in different regions of RUSSIA became an incentive to launch a separate line of frozen semi-finished products, called Starodvorskiye Pelmeni. Subsequently, both directions - sausages and frozen semi-finished products - were united by the Starodvorie brand.

General DIRECTOR of Abi Tatiana Trifonova reminded that for the second year the company has been the recognized leader in Russia in the segment of the production of sausages and sausage products, according to the consumer panel of GFK-Rus LLC. It is quite natural that it was Abi who became the first in the country to have two well-known trademarks in the category of sausage products at once: the Vyazanka brand became the first, and the Starodvorye brand was the second.

The Starodvorie brand has been moving towards the status of a well-known trademark for many years, releasing truly folk products of high quality, Tatyana Trifonova emphasized. Despite the tradition, they have been awarded national prizes, competitions, Russian and international exhibitions (One Hundred Best Goods of Russia, Prodexpo, IFFA, World Food, MEAT Product, Dairy and Meat Industry, Peterfood, etc.). .P.).

It is very important that the team of the Starodvorie brand does not stand still: it develops new directions, finds fresh readings of half-forgotten village recipes and ways of cooking meat products and recreates them in modern production. In addition, the brand is invariably present in the media space: if you collect all the commercials, you get a full-fledged Starodvorie series about family traditions.

Comprehensive work on brand promotion does not go unnoticed among buyers. According to the sociological survey of the VTsIOM Foundation in December 2020, the designation "Starodvorye" was known to 73% of respondents, and every second of them had already bought or tried products under this trademark.

Tatyana Trifonova added that the popularity of brands often leads competitors to think about imitating or copying samples of the holding's products, and Starodvorye is no exception. The company uses all legal methods to stop such attempts. Undoubtedly, the status of a well-known trademark will serve as an additional guarantee of intellectual property protection.

The slogan of the Starodvorye brand is “In our opinion, for real!” reflects his concept. The production of sausages and semi-finished products under the well-known trademark according to old village recipes, using the latest technology, recreates their authentic taste and traditional configuration.

Under the brand "Starodvorye" they produce a line of sausages "Dugushka" of an unusual curved shape, "Bavarushka", dumplings "Bear's Ear" and other easily recognizable products. It offers consumers a wide selection of boiled, cooked-smoked, half-smoked and raw-smoked sausages, hams, frankfurters, sausages and frozen semi-finished products.
