45% of Russians prefer farm meat for shashlik in the new season

When it comes to barbecue, many Russians do not bother themselves with long planning - 60% of respondents act spontaneously, choosing MEAT and company. 22% prefer to organize a meeting in the countryside with friends in advance, and 18% wait for an invitation from acquaintances.

The majority (65%) are not afraid of rainy weather, they are sure that even bad weather will not interfere with company and shashlik. However, 35% prefer to cook meat only in comfortable weather.

Although pork is the favorite among respondents, chicken for shashlik is chosen by 31%, and beef and lamb by 6% of respondents. 7% prefer fish, and 4% - vegetables and mushrooms. Interest in quality products is growing, as 45% of respondents prefer meat from local farmers or producers, while 36% buy it in supermarkets and 19% - through online stores.

An ideal shashlik is impossible without fresh vegetables and greens, as indicated by 44% of respondents. They also note that lavash or bread complements the meat, and various sauces and pickles add additional notes.

For many Russians, shashlik is not just a dish, but a real art that requires skills. 39% of respondents are sure that they themselves are not able to cook shashlik at the proper level and prefer to entrust this matter to specialists.
