June 12, MINSK . A resident of Soligorsk lost all the money from his friend’s account and received two criminal cases. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

As explainedlaw enforcement officers , after drinking ALCOHOL together, an unemployed Soligorsk resident, obsessed with betting on sports and online casinos, stole his friend’s smartphone, which had an account linked to an online casino application. Within a few hours, the attacker lost the Br955 to a friend, after which he took the device to a pawnshop, passing it off as his own. Criminal cases have been initiated

against the man for theft and embezzlement of funds by modifying computer information. He will have to compensate for the damage caused in full.

The police remind you that in order not to lose funds in your account if your gadget is stolen, experts recommend protecting applications that have access to accounts with biometric and two-factor authorization. Account access data should be kept confidential.
