Resident of Krupsky district to stand trial for double murder

August 10, MINSK. The Prosecutor General's Office sent to COURT a criminal case against a resident of the Krupsky district, who was charged with intentional infliction of less serious bodily harm and murder, BelTA informs with reference to the department of interaction with the media and editorial activities of the Prosecutor General's Office.

As follows from the materials of the case, in January of this year, during a quarrel, the defendant inflicted at least four blows to his brother on the HEAD and torso, and also pressed his knees on his chest and stomach. In addition, in February 2022, a man, while intoxicated , stabbed at least 15 blows to a neighbor, including on the head, neck, chest and stomach, and at least 21 blows to a neighbor who was trying to prevent the commission of a crime. As a result, both victims died at the scene.

The study of the materials of the criminal case showed that the preliminary investigation into it was carried out comprehensively, fully and objectively. Illegal actions are justifiably qualified under paragraph 6 of part 2 of article 139, paragraphs 6, 10 and 16 of part 2 of article 139, part 1 of article 149 of the Criminal Code. And there are no grounds for changing the chosen measure of restraint in the form of detention.
