A resident of Krichev stabbed his wife out of jealousy

August 5, MINSK. A resident of Krichev, after drinking ALCOHOL out of jealousy, stabbed his wife to death. This was reported to BelTA by the Investigative Committee.

As they said in the department, late in the evening on August 2, a 47-year-old man in his house in Krichev drank alcohol in the company of acquaintances and his wife. At some point, a quarrel broke out between husband and wife on the basis of jealousy. Then the owner of the house grabbed a kitchen knife and hit the woman several times with it. She died on the spot from her injuries. The eldest daughter of the murdered woman called law enforcement officers and said that her father had stabbed her mother. The policemen quickly arrested the man.

Investigators and specialists of the UGKSE for the Mogilev region examined the scene of the incident, recorded a trace picture and seized items and objects that are related to the incident, including a knife. A number of expert studies have been scheduled. According to the results of a medical examination of the suspect, the concentration of alcohol vapor in the air exhaled by him was 1.5 ppm.

The actions of a 47-year-old resident of Krichev are qualified under clause 6, part 2, article 139 (murder committed with particular cruelty) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was applied to him. The man has been convicted several times before. The final legal assessment of his illegal actions will be given based on the results of the investigation.
