Researchers have found out how much time women in the UK spend on diets. IT turned out that 90% of the fair sex have tried some kind of diet at least once in their lives, and in general, ladies take 17 years of their lives to try to lose weight. The Daily Mail writes about it.

At the same time, on average, a woman goes on a diet about 9 times throughout her life. Ladies begin to lose weight, as a rule, at the age of 18. Each attempt to become slim lasts about seven weeks.

Kevin Dorren, founder of UK-based diet food delivery company Diet Chef, says: "It's easy to make the decision to lose weight when you need it for a specific goal or when you feel insecure about being overweight. However, go on a diet and lose weight. kilograms is actually quite difficult, it requires real effort."

The survey found that less than 1% of women were able to stay on a diet for a year. A third of the respondents endured at least 6 months.

One of the main reasons why ladies decide to lose weight is that clothes become too small for them (52%). Approximately the same number of respondents said that they were forced to go on a diet by a swollen waist.

At the same time, 35% of women admitted that their love for food prevents them from losing weight, 33% - a lack of willpower. For 20% of the women surveyed, healthy food turned out to be too expensive.
