During the day, the traffic police of the capital revealed 19 lawless people and three drunk drivers

April 17, MINSK. Special events called "Filter" are held in the capital. Over the past 24 hours alone, inspectors of the Minsk traffic police revealed three facts of driving while intoxicated . 19 lawless people were detained, BelTA learned from the UGAI GUVD of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

The State Traffic Inspectorate recalls that for drunk driving, the administrative penalty depends on the concentration of ALCOHOL in the blood or its vapors in the exhaled air: from 0.3 to 0.8 ppm - 100 BV with deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities for a period of three years, over 0, 8 ppm - 200 BV with deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities for a period of five years.

Driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive, as well as transferring control of the vehicle to a person who does not have the right to drive, entails the imposition of a fine in the amount of 5 to 20 BV. In case of a repeated violation within a year, liability arises in accordance with Part 2 of Article 18.14 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction provides for an administrative penalty in the form of a fine of 20 to 50 BV or community service, or administrative arrest.

For these offenses, not only administrative, but also criminal liability is provided.

"Dear road users, the reckless behavior of drivers on the road can lead to irreversible consequences. If you see or know that a drunk driver or without a license is trying to get behind the wheel, do not remain indifferent and call the 102 line," the traffic police officers asked.
