
February 10, MINSK. Cabbage and tomatoes went up in price in January, caramel and pasta went down in price, BelTA informs citing the data of the National Statistical Committee.
Fresh white cabbage rose in price by 19.38%, tomatoes - by 16.26%, bananas - by 15.08%, garlic - by 14.21%, sweet pepper - by 14.04%, grapes - by 12.04% , carrots - by 12%, beets - by 9.71%, cucumbers - 7.37%, pears - 6.62%, potatoes - by 6.13%. Caramel fell in price by 1.41%, juice, fruit and berry nectar - by 0.49%, pasta, horns - by 0.25%, cocoa - by 0.24%, honey - by 0.23%.
In general, vegetables became more expensive by 13.25%, fruits - by 6.66%. MILK and dairy products went up by 0.86%, MEAT and meat products - by 1.48%, bread and bakery products - by 0.85%, fish and fish products - by 1.77%.
Lunches in the canteen went up by 3.52%, in restaurants and cafes - by 1.07%, fast food - by 0.76%.
Tobacco products rose in price by 1.45%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.89%.
Non-food products in January became more expensive by 0.75%. Clothes went up by 0.51%, shoes - by 1.36%, furniture - by 1.31%, carpet products went up by 0.46%, textiles - by 1.3%, building materials - by 0.59%, medicines - by 0.13%.
The cost of services increased by 1.65%. In January, services for the protection of residential buildings rose by 10.34%, state duties for the implementation of administrative procedures - 10.34%, hostel services - by 10.21%, preschool institutions - 9.01%, technical inspection of vehicles - 6.25 %, watch repair - 5.67%, communication services - 3.19%, ritual services - 2.55%, hotels - 2.07%, manicure - 2.04%.
As reported, inflation in Belarus in January amounted to 1.5%.
