Almost 30 drunk and unlicensed drivers detained in Vitebsk region over the weekend

March 3,Vitebsk . Over the past weekend, traffic police officers detained almost 30 drunk and unlicensed drivers on the roads of the Vitebsk Region. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
During the weekend, traffic police officers stopped 12 drivers who were in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication , and 17 people who did not have the right to drive a vehicle. All of them were brought to justice.
Over the past two days, 38 accidents with material damage were registered on the roads of the northern region, nine of which occurred in Vitebsk.
In addition, traffic police officers brought 250 pedestrians to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules. Of these, 26 people were in a state of alcohol intoxication, 67 citizens were not marked with reflective elements.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds all road users of caution and the need to comply with traffic rules.
