August 12, Vitebsk . In the Vitebsk region, more than 120 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility over the weekend for violating traffic rules, BelTA learned from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
“125 pedestrians have been brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules,” the department said.5 of them were intoxicated , 19 were without reflective elements."
In total, 32 accidents with material damage were recorded on the roads of the northern region over the weekend, half of them occurred in Vitebsk itself. Traffic police officers detained 12 drunk drivers and 31 people without a license.
The State Traffic Inspectorate calls on road traffic participants to be extremely attentive, careful and strictly adhere to traffic rules.
